New style :)

Hey everyone
So as you can see my NPM's and RTT aren't exactly falling when they should be, I had my NCE's today (my exam to get my counseling license!) and have been neglecting everything that didn't have to do with studying. But I also realized that there are times in the week when I have things I want to say, and I think "oh I'll wait until random thought thursday" or whatever.

And that's not working so well either!! So heres what I'm thinking, we are going to do a new project every week, probably either Sunday or Monday, those day's are just more logical for me right now. And every other day will be an opportunity for randomness, spontaniousness, and other 'nessess' I think this will be more fun for you guys to read, and will give you (and I) more things to read about! Besides, like I said in my last post, this is supposed to be fun and who cares about schedules :P

So tonight, I wanted to share a picture of a new little friend who has joined my 'family':
Meet Danbo, he is a little Japanese figure who is posable! He looks to be made out of cardboard Amazon boxes, but he is actually made out of plastic and is just the cutest little guy! I found him on ebay for a steal and *had* to have him!!

I was so surprised at how fast he got here! And Harriet was the first one to meet the new little fellow:

Harriet seems a bit freaked out by Danbo's eyes... what sort of creature is this!?
Danbo says "you're a strange creature, how to you walk with no legs!" Harriet giggles, and decides that he is a-okay
"I like your ear's" Danbo says poking Harriet
"I like you're arms!" Harried exclaims nosing them
"I think we'll be great friends"
"Me too!"

A silly little photo story, but I am feeling very glad that my NCE's are done!! Danbo (who I suppose will need a name 0_o) will be in a lot of pictures with Harriet, Lucy and Rhea. And since he and Rhea are made out of plastic, I have a feeling they will be getting into all sorts of new trouble that I would never allow Harriet to get involved in!!

I'm hoping to have Lucy's wig actually done tomorrow (the process is relatively short, but I need to get better hair as I don't like what I originally got :( so that'll be tomorrow!) Autumn's wig looks superb, but her face is pretty boring... waiting on proper tools to fix her up!

I will also be uploading a number of wand pictures, sales have been booming with Halloween around the corner!!

My etsy shop will be getting new WINTER themed items in stock hopefully this week :D be sure to check back for the announcement!

Also Hank went on a Florida vacation with James! New traveling hamster pics to come!

Until next time :)
try seeing things from a different point of view :D

RTT On Friday!

Hey everyone
Oh man, so I realized this morning that I didn't post a random thought for yesterday :O I have been crazy busy tearing my room apart and putting it back together. I decided that enough was enough and it was time to get rid of stuff. 5 years of college and 1.5 years in my masters program = a TON of papers.
So since today is Friday and it's been a while since we've last seen Hank or Harriet I figured now would be a good time to post some more pictures of them!

The other day Harriet and Hank decided to go house shopping! They decided it was important to have a place to call there own. Here is the house that they both really liked!

Next they decided to pick some furniture and nom noms to chew on... They had a LOT of choices!

Hank really likes this bed, so they decided to get it for the new house!! But Harriet had other ideas....

She bought a brand new china cabinet to hold all their dishes, (yes of COURSE they have dishes!!)

Here Harriet is with her finished cabinet, she loves that the doors match her bow! She can't wait to show Hank what she did when he gets home from Army drill!!
Speaking of Army Drill Harriet is so happy when she got a picture from Hank the other day:

Here is Hank at drill, hanging out on his bunk with his buddy "Button" (the bunny lol)
Aww aren't they cute?! The other day my little cousin came over and played with Harriet for a long time, I am now in the process of making her a blue version (she's 4 and her favorite color is blue... naturally when I asked what color it should be that was her answer lol) Here's one last picture of her with Harriet :)
Cuties :D

Hope everyone has a nice weekend!!

Hank the Traveling Hamster!!

This will probably become it's own blog attached to the Butterflies Attic, but for now I thought I would share these pictures/stories here. As you may or may not have read, Hank is a crochet hamster that I made, my boyfriend James really loves this little guy and took him with him to work. I thought it would be cute to post a picture of Hank at James' job, this thought evolved into the idea of taking pictures with Hank ALL over the place!! We wanted to share Hanks first day of pictures, and his story :)
We loved the idea so much that I made another hamster Harriet that I will be taking around with me. I will be sharing her adventures at another point in time, for now here's Hank :D
Here I am getting ready to go to work :)
Here James and I are all set to begin work! choo choo!!!
James says I'm not allowed to touch this red handle... but it intrigues me
Never mind the handle, I'm gonna operate the whole train!!
When I get to the hotel, first I check the board to see when I have to go to work next...
THEN...
Here I am at my nice hotel room, where I rest after a long day on the road. Isn't my king size bed AWESOME!
Or if I feel like it, you can find me kickin' it by the pool!
Or you can find me in my room working on my knitting, I'm currently making a scarf for the winter!

I am also quite the scholar...
Then it's off to bed
The next morning I make sure to shave (Harriet doesn't like a scruffy hamster!!)

and I shower, can't get my ears wet!

Then it's a cup of joe, and back to work for me! Thanks for checking out my day!
Until next time

Bonus Project: Hank the Hamster

Ok so in a rare Tuesday post I'm going to share a project that I completed that I love. I recently lost my pet hamster Stitch and decided that in his memory my first crochet project would be a small hamster from the "super-super cute crochet" book by Brigitte Read:

the hamster was supposed to be much smaller and I sent a picture of the completed project to my boyfriend James saying that my hamster turned out too fat! (I used the wrong size hook, and added about 4 extra rows, because I was attempting to attach the two pieces incorrectly!!) Well for whatever reason James fell in love with this pudgy little hamster, he named him Hank and insisted keeping him at his house (along with the Hippo "Fred" and Owl "Owlie" that I have also made him).

(Aren't they just the cutest thing?!)

So when James got called into work today (side note he's a freight train conductor, it's pretty cool!! - and also a volunteer fireman and a member of the National Guard... cause he likes giving me heart attacks when he goes off to work, but I digress back to Hank) he brought Hank with him, which if you ask me is adorable :)

I am going to attempt to make a proper sized hamster next, though James swears that the chubby ones are much cuter :P I would love to know what you think of Hank I'm so excited that I finally figured out crochet, my crafting options have just exploded with possibilities!!

See you soon
